WHO WE NEED

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Node.js Developer with profound experience with Google Firebase platform as a real-time data storage and back-end functional platform. By joining our team, in this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality back-end solutions using Node.js, Typescript, Google Firebase.

Our client is a growing US-based PaaS company that builds a platform to empower small and medium-sized businesses to easily create and manage highly-customizable websites without requiring any technical knowledge. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project with a real-world impact and contribute to the growth of a dynamic startup.

AS A Back-end DEVELOPER, YOU’LL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Google Firebase, Node.js, and Typescript
• Integrate with various third-party APIs, including Stripe, and ChatGPT
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Collaborate with multi-functional team and other stakeholders
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years of experience in developing commercial back-end solutions
• Profound knowledge of back-end technologies and development approaches using Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Nest.js, Express)
• Profound knowledge of Google Firebase, including database, functions, and deployment
• Experience with Google Cloud Platforms and its services, incl. containerization, AI features
• Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with front-end technologies, particularly Angular
• Excellent self-organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and writing skills in English (B2+)
• Ability to work and communicate with client team directly

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience with other public clouds and their services, e.g., AWS, DigitalOcean
• Experience in building AI-based solutions
• Contributions to open-source projects
