We are seeking a skilled and passionate Java Developer to join our dynamic team in a remote position with 10% on-site work in Nuremberg. As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge software solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Our customer is a German company, which provision of consulting services as well as other services in the field of information technology with a focus on systems analysis and technical concept, design and implementation, software testing, quality assurance and architectural consulting as well as the support of corresponding projects for clients.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications using Maven, Spring, and Java 8 or higher
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement business requirements
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug complex Java applications, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and trends
• Contribute to the overall quality and performance of our software solutions

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Java development using Maven, Spring, and Java 8 or higher
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Experience with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• An intermediate level of German and the ability to communicate verbally in a proficient manner
