WHO WE NEED

We’re seeking a talented Java Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a comprehensive test automation framework.

Our client is a reputable German IT company with over 20 years of experience in the industry. They offer a comprehensive range of services, including requirements management, development, operation, and support, catering to clients across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

This is a remote position, with the opportunity for on-site training in Germany. We highly encourage candidates residing in Germany with fluency in German to apply.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Defining and refining test concepts: Identify thorough testing strategies and ensure continuous improvement

• Collaborating with clients: Coordinate test procedures and design for optimal testability, fostering clear communication

• Championing quality standards: Champion and implement coding, documentation, and other relevant standards for a cohesive development process

• Designing and managing interfaces: Lead the design and management of interfaces to ensure seamless integration and communication 

• Architecting test automation: Craft a robust and scalable test automation architecture to streamline testing processes 

• Technical Acceptance: Conduct thorough technical reviews to ensure the team’s work meets all quality benchmarks 

• Implementing with TDD: Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies for writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU’LL NEED:

• Senior Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience

• Proven track record in creating and evolving software architectures

• Solid understanding of Robot Framework and its application in test automation

• Experience with Python for scripting or other related tasks 

• Experience working within a Scrum framework 

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for continuous integration and deployment

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Upper-intermediate English level and effective verbal communication 

• An intermediate level of German and the ability to communicate verbally in a proficient manner

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience with communication frameworks for testing devices like DUT (Device Under Test) and test equipment

• Exposure to embedded development concepts
